Gabrielle Coco Chanel Biopic to air this Fall!

I will definitely be clad in tweed and pearls watching this one. Shirley MacLaine will star as the fashion icon in a two part series that will air on Lifetime this fall. I was disappointed to hear it will air on Lifetime, but think it has potential with MacLaine playing Coco Chanel.

MacLaine took on the role based off a 50 year old suggestion…by none other than Audrey Hepburn after Audrey suggested Shirley play Coco Chanel when she was the right age to.

The biopic will chronicle Coco Chanel’s life from her upbringing in an orphanage to her rise and return as a fashion icon. Now they just have to work on that Beyonce biopic. (Source)
