N***a Please

I’m a Nas fan, so when I heard he was going to name his new album Nigger, I thought about Dick Gregory’s Autobiography, also called Nigger.

I wanted to wait and actually hear the first single before assuming that his choice in naming his album after a word that is so deeply rooted in our history and so painful was just a publicity stunt. I figured, Dick Gregory named his Autobiography years ago Nigger and it sold over a million copies, so why not wait and see where Nas is going with this before chastising him.

Well, I take that all back after seeing Nas and Kelis wearing Nigger to the Grammys. About a million comments came to mind, and most of them were around the lines of, “Is this n*gga crazy…..what the hell was this n*igga thinking, has this n*gga lost his rabbit ass mind!” I didn’t see the preshow but would loooovvvveeee to know how the press reacted and if Nas or Kelis gave any comments. I think it would probably be around the lines of, “I am an attention whore”.

Beyonce and Tina Turner Full Grammy Performance Video

So Beyonce has performed with Prince, “played” Diana Ross, and now performed with Tina Turner!! I decided tonight I’m going to do a Borat on her and stuff her in a papersack, snatch her lace front and film and release a video collection and cd so that I can have a chance to perform with a legend before the truth comes out. I figure I’ll have plenty of time to get this accomplished, all I need is a day since that’s all it takes in Beyonce World. Anyways…..she killed it, the awards weren’t that bad, at least what I saw while awake. All I remember was seeing The Time which was a highlight since I adore Prince and any of his proteges, tearing up for Kanye, and trying to figure if Amy’s performance was just an old performance that they just replayed for the awards(if she didn’t win that would have given me my answer).
